Be Praised Monday

Good afternoon,

This morning started off with me introducing the children to one of the songs we play at church...

Be Praised - Michael Gungor Band

Lyrics:

All praises to the One from whom it all began
The One who formed the stars and who gave life to man

You set the world in motion, created sky and ocean
And here I stand beloved and called by name.

Be praised
Be praised
Listen to creation
Lifting up Your Name
Be praised
Be praised
Be praised

All praises to the One from whom it all began.
The One who gave Himself to save sinful man.

You scorned the shame of the cross.
My sin, my blame is now gone,
And here I stand beloved and called by name

Be praised
Be praised
Listen to Your people
Lifting up Your Name
Be Praised
Be praised
Be praised

All praises to the One from whom it all began.
The One who conquered death and who will come again.
The nations will behold You as everything becomes new,
And there we'll stand beloved and called by name.

...'cept we play it in a different key. I think it's pretty cool and am keen to teach it to the children over the term.

Either side of fitness...

(Room 2 Readers when thither, Room 12 Readers came hither)

...we had our reading instructions. Well, most of us. I didn't get to see White group this morning, as there was an extended morning tea as a reward for the children's exemplary behaviour during Mass last Friday.

That being said, this is what I saw when I looked up when I was teaching Blue group...

It was great to see them all buddy reading together.

After lunch we had an R.E. pretest concerning Jesus - what He ate, what He wore, how He showed love and how we can show love. Specifically, this.

We finished the day with breaking down the four things we learnt about working as a team from Chicken Run.

  • Everyone has a part to play

  • Encourage each other

  • If you see a problem, fix it

  • Help each other
(see our previous Chicken Run clips here)

And a good time was had by all.

CU in the morning,

Mr Grant
